The first Happy Holiday debuted in 1988. Although it was classified in the “Play Line” category collectors quickly embraced them, making them one hot collectible doll. Officially, the “Happy Holiday” collection was produced from 1988 to 1998, but Mattel has continued to issue a special Holiday doll every year since then. To celebrate 20 years of Holiday Barbie, Sharon Zuckerman has designed a gorgeous doll dressed in silver & white ‘satin’ and tulle, with tiers of crinkled silver lame. And, for the first time, the 2008 Holiday Barbie will have rooted lashes!

Wearing a gorgeous and glittery silver gown as seen in the DVD Barbie in a Christmas Carol, this doll exudes a wintry sophistication. Accents include silvery drop earrings, luscious long hair pulled up and away from a beautifully painted face, and as always -- perfect packaging. The doll stands against a red foil background featuring holiday ornaments and snowflakes. 3-D "snowflakes" appear to be suspended in the package as if Barbie® doll is in the middle of a winter wonderland
